Refund & Cancellation Policy: Plural Browser
Last updated: 20 August 2026
Vendor: Apt Stack Consulting LLC, a New Mexico limited liability company ("we", "us", "Apt Stack") Product: Plural Browser, subscription desktop software, licensed per device Payments processor: Stripe, Inc. Effective date: 20 August 2026 Contact: hello@aptstack.com
This policy explains how Plural Browser subscriptions renew, how to cancel, and when you can get a refund. We have tried to keep it clear: a subscription you understand is one you are less likely to dispute. If anything here is unclear, email us at hello@aptstack.com before opening a card dispute. We can almost always resolve it faster than your bank can.
1. Plans and billing
Plural Browser is sold as an auto-renewing subscription in several tiers, billed monthly or annually. The current plans and prices are shown at pluralbrowser.com and in your account at app.pluralbrowser.com; the price that applies to you is the one displayed at checkout.
- Your subscription auto-renews at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) using the payment method on file, charged through Stripe, until you cancel.
- Each renewal is charged at the start of the new period. By subscribing you authorize these recurring charges.
- Licences are per device. Seat and device counts for each plan are set out in the Terms of Service.
2. How to cancel
You can cancel yourself, any time, with no need to email us:
- Sign in to your account dashboard at https://app.pluralbrowser.com.
- Open the billing / subscription section (Stripe customer portal).
- Select Cancel subscription.
What cancellation does:
- It stops all future renewal charges. You will not be billed again.
- Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. If you cancel a monthly plan mid-month, or an annual plan mid-year, you keep access until that period ends.
- No proration or partial refund of the current period is given on cancellation. You keep the service you already paid for until it runs out.
If you cancel and want to come back later, just re-subscribe from the dashboard.
3. Refunds
3.1 Money-back window for first-time purchasers
We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on your first paid subscription. If you are not satisfied, email hello@aptstack.com within 7 days of your first charge and we will refund that charge in full.
The window applies to first-time purchasers only, to prevent abuse (subscribe, refund, repeat). Renewals are covered by §3.2.
3.2 After the window / on renewal
Outside the money-back window, subscription fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started. This includes renewal charges. When a plan renews, you are paying for the upcoming period. Cancelling (see §2) stops the next renewal but does not refund a period already begun.
3.3 Discretionary refunds
We may still grant a refund at our discretion, for example a duplicate charge, a charge immediately after a cancellation attempt that didn't go through, a genuine billing error, or a documented inability to use the software that we could not resolve. Email hello@aptstack.com and tell us what happened. Discretionary refunds are case-by-case and do not change this policy for other charges.
3.4 Annual plans
Annual plans are billed once for the full year at the price above.
- The money-back window in §3.1 applies to the first annual charge.
- After the window, an annual term is non-refundable for the remainder of that year. Cancelling stops the next annual renewal, and you keep access until the paid year ends (§2).
- No partial or prorated refund is given for an annual plan cancelled early. You keep access to the end of the paid year, consistent with §2.
3.5 How refunds are processed
- Approved refunds are issued through Stripe to your original payment method. We cannot refund to a different card or account.
- Once we process a refund, it typically appears in 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
- Refunds are made in the original currency; any exchange-rate or bank fees between USD and your currency are outside our control.
4. Failed payments and lapsed access
If a renewal payment fails (expired card, insufficient funds, etc.):
- Stripe automatically retries the charge over a few days using its Smart Retries schedule, and may email you to update your payment method.
- Please update your card in the dashboard (https://app.pluralbrowser.com) to keep your subscription active.
- If payment still cannot be collected after the retry period, the subscription lapses and access ends. No refund is owed for a lapse caused by a failed payment, and you can re-subscribe at any time.
5. EU / UK / EEA consumers: statutory rights
If you are a consumer in the EU, EEA, or UK, you normally have a statutory right to withdraw within 14 days of purchasing digital content or services, without giving a reason.
Waiver on immediate access. Plural Browser is downloadable software you can use right away. Where you expressly agree at checkout to begin using the software immediately and acknowledge that by doing so you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once use begins, that statutory right no longer applies to that purchase. This waiver applies only where the customer agreed to immediate access at checkout.
Nothing in this policy limits mandatory consumer rights that cannot be waived under the law of your country of residence, including remedies for software that is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose. Those rights apply on top of the voluntary guarantee in §3.1.
6. Chargebacks and disputes
Please contact us first at hello@aptstack.com. Most billing problems (an unexpected renewal, a charge you don't recognize, a cancellation that didn't take) we can fix or refund faster than a bank dispute, which can take weeks.
- Opening a chargeback for a charge that is valid under this policy (for example a renewal you did not cancel in time) may not succeed, and we will provide this policy and your cancellation/usage records as evidence.
- Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks, such as disputing charges for a service you used, or repeatedly refunding and re-subscribing to game the money-back window, may result in termination of your licence and account and a bar on future purchases.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted on our website and, where required, notified to active subscribers. The version in effect at the time of a charge governs that charge.
